Personal Bio
I joined LAUSD in 1986 working as a teacher's assistant for 3 years and started my teaching career in 1995. I am a veteran teacher, an advocate for education who enjoys working with inner city communities at the elementary school level. I am a dedicated educator who is passionate about education, and I believe we are all lifelong learners. I have over 29 years of teaching experience and have worked with all elementary grade levels from Kindergarten to 5th grade, all within LAUSD. I graduated from California State University, Los Angeles, with a degree in elementary education with a focus in Child Development. I completed my clear teaching credential at California State University, Dominguez Hills. During my personal time I enjoy attending live concerts and theater. Traveling and experiencing other cultures and foods from all around the world is another one of my passions. Cooking at home and spending quality time with family and friends is my favorite part of the holidays.
